Years of sales channel and end-user customer research, focused on the shifting demands of private and public sector security, went into the refinement of the Sharp INTELLOS A-UGV. What the industry and its customers now have from Sharp is a tested, reliable and cost-effective outdoor robotic tool assisting in safeguarding people, assets and infrastructure.
The name combines the concept of intelligence - technological brilliance and security know-how - with the Greek mythological figure, Talos or Talon. Talos, a giant man of bronze, protected Europa in Crete from pirates and invaders. He circled the island's shores three times daily, akin to the potential three security tours a day that the Sharp INTELLOS A-UGV can deliver.
Sharp INTELLOS A-UGVs collect data that can enhance outdoor surveillance, security, safety, and maintenance inspections, through a durable cost-effective multi-terrain, mobile sensor platform that can capture video, audio and environmental data. The Sharp INTELLOS A-UGV utilizes a navigation surveillance platform developed by Sharp to patrol predefined routes, extending coverage on a property. These mobile platforms include standard information gathering tools, and can be equipped with additional observation and sensor capabilities to be configured to meet a customer’s changing safety needs.
